Developing new, necessary, and helpful gear for our soldiers is one of a few things that our government could provide in helping our heroes. This week, we will share with you the “possible” new equipment that the US Army may implement in the near future.
First is the device they claim that might just give the soldiers what they call, “A Third Arm”. Fox News shared with us this new future weapon.
Traditional weaponry has often been a burden to soldiers, placing added weight on their bodies, slowing reaction at times when all of their facilities are needed.
According to them, The Army Research Laboratory is developing a “third arm” passive mechanical appendage that could lessen Soldier burden and increase lethality. Weighing less than 4 pounds, the device attaches to a Soldier’s protective vest and holds their weapon, putting less weight on their arms and freeing up their hands to do other tasks. Sounds like a good investment to help our soldiers!
In this next article, Kris Osborn from The National Interest shared with us the new army vehicle that apparently, the US Army is now testing for its combat usage in 2020. They call it the “Joint Light Tactical Vehicle”.
The Army is now vigorously testing its new Joint Light Tactical Vehicle for possible combat missions in 2020 to include sling-loading the vehicle beneath a Chinook helicopter to increase battlefield maneuverability, service officials said.
It has been added that the Army’s new Joint Light Tactical Vehicle is a new fast-moving armored vehicle engineered to take bullets, drive over roadside bombs and withstand major enemy attacks. AUSA believes more initiatives like these will go miles in saving the lives of the heroic soldiers risking their lives to keep us safe.
So, what can you say about these new equipment? Share your thoughts!
