This week we will highlight more equipment that came to the US Army, making the army an even more formidable force.
First would be the article from Dan Goure of The National Interest. He shared with us a review of the new vehicles provided.
Today the Army operates approximately 120,000 HMMWVs across all echelons and in each type of brigade combat team. About half of the Humvee fleet consists of uparmored vehicles for improved protection against IEDs.
On the day senior White House officials said at least 3,900 additional U.S. forces will be deployed to Afghanistan, more than 2,500 armored tanks and trucks arrived at the Port of Beaumont to be shipped overseas.
“Black Falcon” Army paratroopers of Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 319th Field Artillery Regiment, tested the effectiveness and durability of the Joint Effects Targeting System.
All these additional security and equipment that has been provided to our army would create a solid impact on how they will defend the country in case of emergencies. We wish our fighting men and women a safe return and thank them for there service.
