This week will be all about the bills and benefits that has been approved that has a lot of good possible side effect for the U.S. army. Let’s tackle it all, one by one.
First would be the dental discount and pet insurance that has been added to the benefit of the AUSA members. This article was written by Susan Rubel, Director of AUSA Affinity Programs, Association of the United States Army.
AUSA recently partnered with DentalPlans.com to offer our members an exclusive benefit not available to the general public. Also, AUSA selected Healthy Paws as our pet insurance provider for members.
These additional approved benefits would not only benefit those who are already a member, but also those who plan to join will be enticed to these additions.
Another would be an article from Sarah Sicard of Task & Purpose, as she discussed the newly added mental health and drug benefit that has been included in TRICARE.
Substance abuse and mental health issues are on the rise in the military community, and TRICARE — the insurance provider for service members and their families — is announcing it will offer expanded options to help members attack those problems.
Psychological care is just as important as any other health condition. With the growing number of our soldiers experiencing mental breakdowns and substance abuse, including these benefit would deeply impact our soldiers not only for the present, but for the next generation to come.
Lastly, an article by Nikki Wentling of Stars and Stripes, on how the house approved the expanded bill benefits and several other veterans-related bills.
House lawmakers unanimously passed a host of changes to veterans’ education benefits that boost aid, expand who’s eligible for benefits and eliminate the expiration date for veterans to use them.
Restoring the benefit of veterans who cannot recover their lost education would be ground breaking for those who lost hope after their school abruptly closed.
All these benefits and bills that has been recently passed would not only greatly impact the present performance of the members of the army, but also for those who plans to join soon.
The future is bright for the U.S. Army!
